Description
Our yearly Independence Day Celebration is held at Purcell City Lake with a combination of food, games, and fireworks! Join us Friday, June 30, 2023! The fireworks show is made possible through donations from the City of Purcell, Oklahoma, McClain Bank, First United Bank - Purcell, Heart of Oklahoma Chamber, local businesses, and the citizens of our community! Different food trucks and booths set up at Chandler Pavilion on the south side of Purcell Lake, just across the road from the Purcell Multipurpose Center.
Food Trucks, Fun & Games - 5:00pm
Deluxe ice cream dishes from Contrabandz Ice Cream Lab, traditional state fair food from Carnival Eats & Treats, fresh kettle corn and lemonade from Oklahoma Kettle Corn, gourmet hot dogs by Monte's Gourmet Hot Dogs, great burgers from Evan's Food Truck, delicious Vietnamese cuisine from Monkey's Food Truck, amazing brittles by Dutch Addictions, snow cones from Mr. Yeti's Snow Cones, tasty bunt cakes from Nothing Bunt Cakes, cotton candy and smoothies from Sweet Treats, and gourmet loaded tator-tots from Season 13 Great American Food Truck Race Contestant Some Like It Tot!
Yaya's Inflatables will be selling wrist bands to keep the kids jumping all night! Amazing face painting by Heck Graphics!! Sand volleyball, beach swimming, fishing, and the Lake Trail are all at your disposal!
Car Show - 5:30pm
The Independence Day Celebration Car Show will open registration at 5:30pm at the Weaver Pavilion.
Registration opens at 5:30pm.
$20.00 entry fee per vehicle registered in the show.
Picks for awards will start at 7:00pm. Awards at 8:00pm
The car show will feature a 50/50 Cash Raffle - $1.00 per Ticket

Basketball Tournament - 7:00pm at the Multi-Purpose Center
The 2nd Annual Independence Day Free Throw Contest and Basketball Tournament will be at the Multi-Purpose Center starting at 7:00pm. The free throw contest and tournament are free to enter.
The Free Throw Contest will begin at 7:00pm. The contest will be divided by the 8 to 14 Year Old Division, and 15 and Up Division.
The 3 VS 3 Tournament will begin at 10:00pm, right after the fireworks display. 8-teams total.

Fireworks - 9:45 pm
The fireworks show originates from the northeast corner of the lake where the lake dam meets the cemetery. Come out to the lake, pick a nice spot, and enjoy the show!
