Provide excellent and continuous improvement in civic leadership, services and protection. We will do it by fairly listening, learning, planning, acting, evaluating results, educating and celebrating improvements in the lives of Purcell citizens.
Founded in 1887, Purcell was a railroad town named after Edward B. Purcell, who was an official with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. Purcell is often called the ''Quarter Horse Capital of the World'' and official motto is ''Heart of Oklahoma.''
